HLM is an award winning Architectural practice, employing over 170 people providing a fully integrated service from our offices in London, Guildford, Sheffield, Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff and Plymouth. Our depth of experience embraces the skills of architects, technicians, interior designers, landscape architects and sustainability consultants across all sectors of the built environment.
Working closely with the Commercial Services Manager, you will be required to review, evaluate, negotiate, and draft contracts, warranties, bonds and appointments with clients and suppliers, to identify and manage the potential legal and commercial risks. You will advise on potential contentious matters and assist with any subsequent litigation.
Working with the rest of the project teams across the company, you will regularly disseminate information received on new forms of contract, legislation and provide internal legal advice.
It is therefore desirable that you have the equivalent of at least 2 years post qualification experience particularly in common law and commercial contracts. An appreciation of the Construction industry, knowledge of Construction contracts and the role of the Architect would be desirable.
